Peel and Stick or Unpasted: Every Pattern, Three Ways

Every wallpaper we make is printed to order in one of three materials, chosen at checkout. Vinyl peel and stick has a slightly satin finish, wipes clean, and has the stronger grip; it is the choice for bathrooms, kitchens, mudrooms and walls with a little texture. Fabric peel and stick is matte, the easiest of the three to install, and the one that removes without a mark, which makes it the renter's material. Traditional unpasted is a commercial-grade Type II paper for anyone who wants a permanent hang, a professional installer, or a job that has to meet a specification. All three are Class A fire rated and Prop 65 compliant, and every pattern in this collection is available in all three.

How to Order

Rolls are 24 inches wide in 60, 96, 108 and 122 inch lengths. Measure the wall's width and height, divide the width by 24 and round up for the number of rolls, and choose the length that clears the wall with a few inches spare. Each product page lists the pattern repeat and has a calculator that does this for you; order one spare roll on any wall that needs matching. Custom sizes are available on request. If you are unsure between two patterns or two colours, the 24 x 24 inch sample is the cheapest way to decide: tape it up, live with it for a day, then order. Everything ships in about one to three business days from our Ramsey, New Jersey studio.

Find the Pattern

Browse by pattern: floral, botanical and nature, geometric, stripes, herringbone, plaid and gingham, marble and stone, wood and brick, and surface textures like linen, burlap, rattan and plaster. Or browse by room: bedroom, living room, bathroom, nursery, mudroom and laundry room. For a single wall without a repeat, the murals are printed as numbered panels sized to the wall. If you already know the material, the peel and stick wallpaper and unpasted wallpaper pages filter to it, and there is a page for every colour, from blue and green to grey, beige, pink and black and white. The same patterns are cut for stair risers, cabinets and ceilings.

Installing and Removing

Wait thirty days after painting. Wipe the wall down, mark a plumb line for the first strip, and work from the top with a squeegee, smoothing outward as you go. Peel and stick can be lifted and repositioned during installation; press firmly once it sits right. Avoid stain-resistant and anti-microbial paints unless the wall is primed. To remove, lift a corner and pull slowly at a low angle; fabric comes off clean, vinyl may leave a faint tack on older paint that wipes away. Unpasted is hung with standard wallpaper paste and stripped like any traditional paper.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between peel and stick and unpasted?

Peel and stick has adhesive on the back and goes up like a large sticker; it removes cleanly. Unpasted is traditional paper hung with paste; it is more permanent and the usual choice for commercial work.

Which material for a rental?

Fabric peel and stick. It is the one we recommend where the wall has to come back exactly as it was.

Will peel and stick hold in a bathroom?

Vinyl peel and stick, yes, with the room ventilated. Keep it out of the shower enclosure itself.

Does the pattern match between rolls?

Yes. Rolls are printed to match, and the repeat is listed on the product page.

Can I get a custom colour or size?

Yes. Any pattern can be recoloured or printed to a custom width or length; contact us with the wall dimensions.
