A Wall That Grows With the Child
Nursery wallpaper has a shorter life than any other wallpaper in the house, and that shapes the choice. The room will be redecorated when the crib becomes a bed, and again around age six. So the two things to get right are a material that removes cleanly, and a pattern that can outlast the nursery stage: a botanical, a stripe, a soft geometric or a small floral will still be right for a nine-year-old, where a pattern of rattles will not. Planning the Crib Wall
Paper the crib wall and leave the other three painted. It gives the room a focus without closing it in, and it keeps the papered area small enough that a change later is an afternoon. Choose a pattern with a repeat small enough that the crib does not hide the best part of it. Behind the crib we recommend a wallpaper primer and a strip of permanent double-sided tape along the top edge, so a curious toddler cannot find a corner. Pair it with a tree decal or a set of stickers on a second wall rather than a second wallpaper.

Rolls are 24 inches wide in 60, 96, 108 and 122 inch lengths. The calculator on each product page turns the wall size into a roll count with a spare for the pattern match. Wait thirty days after painting, which in a nursery usually means papering before the furniture arrives. Fabric peel and stick can be lifted and re-set during installation. Everything is made to order in our Ramsey, New Jersey studio and usually shipped in one to three business days, and any pattern can be printed in a custom colour to match bedding.
